Miracle’s E-Sport Dota 2 Story: The Player with the Highest MMR Rank Ever:

Miracle is a young half polish and half Jordanian Dota 2 player who shattered the community in just four months of its professional career. His real name is Amer Al-Barkawi and he is born in 1997.

Let us go into the flashback from where it all started…

How Miracle got Popular Early for his MMR:

Miracle used to play Dota in his nearby gaming cafe. He got a PC at home but playing along with friends was more fun for him. He always had a high MMR and was able to even lift off from his friends around 5000 MMR. He was increasing and increasing in MMR over the months and was reaching over 6000 and soon 7000 MMR. Soon he became famous in his region and even got popular in the European Dota 2 leaderboards. For a short time early he was on rank one with 7226 MMR but was overtaken by other pro players again for now.

How hard is it really to get such a high MMR in Dota 2?

Everyone wanted to know him and play with him, someone with such a high MMR is just admirable since we all know how hard and slowly it is work increase the MMR at all. For me in my career of Dota 2 with around 3000 games, I was able to boost myself from 3000 MMR to 5000 MMR but it took me years. Miracle made it able to increase the MMR by a few thousand in a few months!

Let’s make the math like Einstein: If you get +25 MMR each match, you jut need 40 matches (40×25) to reach 1000 MMR, wow that’s simple! 😉 Assuming that you are a Dota hardcore nerdy player and are able to play 8 games a day, then it would only take 5 days to complete these 40 wins.

Okay, that’s not doable at all to win every single match, but if you have win percentage like Miracle with over 80%, the uptrend is real and you can really feel how it is getting up fast. This is the dream of every Dota 2 player to increase the MMR so fast – Miracle soon reached position 1 on the leaderboards…

Miracle’s Clan History and first Attemps to get a Dota 2 Pro:

In 2015, Miracle joined the Balkan Bears and played along with them for four months. Maybe the team members could not bear his pro gameplay so they kicked him out of the team. He was teamless, but it didnt mean that he can’t play anymore.

Soon, he became a remarkable player in the matchmaking leaderboards just by playing public ranked matches. Accidently he was one of the most outstanding players in the European region.

Miracle made it able to lead the MMR leaderboard without beeing a professional player. And he reached all of that in under one year – he became famous as hell among the Dota 2 community, he was the new young rising star everyone was talking about…

Miracle claimed the Rank 1 on the MMR Leaderboards wihtout any chances to reach him:

He was playing more and more pub games, and still was increasing, what was wrong with this kid? He already reached position one and still was improving.
Right now almost every team with a vacancy wanted to have Miracle into their team. He suddenly got tons of requests to join real progaming Dota 2 teams!

Team OG was born:

The player N0tail was searching a new team after the TI5 and Miracle was the best option for him to play with. N0tail invited Miracle to join his new team called The Monkey Business. Later on, the team was named as OG. Got a Ping in the brain after hearing the name OG? Yeah, the team was born that should earn so much in the upcoming years! After the completion of the team. It was the time to enter the Dota 2 Major tournaments and it was time for Miracle! OG participated in the Frankfurt Major 2015, nailed the whole tournament and came back home with a shiny trophy. Miracle had shown his miraculous performances with Shadow Fiend and Invoker throughout the tournament.

That was the first time Miracle was earning serious money with it and it was not about to stop:
It was time to go wild, after winning Frankfurt Major, Miracle nailed numerous tournaments throughout the year 2016. Instantly, OG became one of the favorite teams of Dota 2, later on Kuroky, the incredible support player also joined them.
Unfortunately, In The Dota 2 International 2016, OG did not play well and lost in the second round of the lower bracket. TNC Gaming broke the unbreakable streak of OG.

What is the Strategy behind The High MMR Push of Miracle?

In an interview, Miracle expressed everything how he got the highest MMR and which strategies he used. In the early stage of his Dota life, he used to go with his friends to a nearby gaming zone. But he realized soon that he should play solo because he had a high win rate in solo MMR matches. 😉

So, he started developing his Solo MMR career instead of Party MMR. He loved having win streaks and he didn’t care too much about MMR at first. He was just happy with his wins and winning streaks. After his Dota 2 calibration matches, Miracle hit 5.2k MMR. For the most Dota 2 players, this number is just a dream. However, Miracle was having fun.

Miracle did not get serious until he reached 7000 MMR.
You know what? He was the first one to reach 7k MMR in the Europe region.

To get from 7k to 8k MMR was the time Miracle was extremely serious and playing solo matches all day.

For an ordinary Dota 2 player increasing 1000 MMR in a lower bracket is a pain in buttocks. However, Miracle achieved the milestone in a month.

Currently, Miracle is still in Team Liquid with the Roles as a Solo Middle Lane Carry. His signature heroes are Shadow Fiend, Invoker and also Anti Mage. He is a hard carrying player.

He is not super active, but streaming from time to time on twitch.tv/miracle_doto representing his favorite Team Liquid. Miracle has over 200.000 followers on Twitch.

Does Miracle has a girlfriend?

Question is, who is the best Dota player in the world? If you ask a thousand people, most of them would say it’s Miracle. If you check the Leaderboards these days, meanwhile VP.RAMZEs and Vega.gpk have climbed the ladder. The MMR is not visible anymore, it’s also seperated into Support and Core MMR right now, but Miracle is not anymore on place 1. He is on place 9 of the Top 10.

But is Miracle the best Dota 2 player? Yes, he is.
Timewise he was on top of the Dota 2 leaderboard for the longest time compared to any other player and in addition to that, he is in the Top 3 of the Dota 2 players with the highest income ever.
