Bloodseeker is an Agility hero who hunts low-health enemies, silences from range and punishes movement with Rupture.
Bloodseeker is a melee Agility hero. Our recommended role is position 1 carry, with offlane as an alternative.
Bloodseeker ends fights that have already started. Thirst makes him faster and reveals enemies at low health, Blood Rite silences an area after a delay, Bloodrage trades health for attack speed and spell damage, and Rupture damages a target for every step it takes. Pick Bloodseeker when the enemy has fragile heroes who rely on running away. He is weak against heroes who stand still and fight back and against teams that heal through his pressure.
Use Bloodrage on yourself to farm faster and on the enemy carry to make their trades cost health. Blood Rite secures ranged creeps and silences a support who stands in it. From level six, look for Rupture kills on enemies who are already low: Thirst shows you where they are.
Wait for the fight to start, then rupture the enemy who must move, usually the carry or a mobile hero. Blood Rite the casters so they cannot save the ruptured target, and use Thirst speed to chase anyone who runs. Bloodseeker should finish fights, not open them against a full-health team.
Phase Boots, Magic Wand and a Wraith Band carry the lane. Maelstrom or Battle Fury speed up farming, Black King Bar protects him in fights and Sange and Yasha adds speed and durability. Skull Basher, Satanic and Aghanim's Scepter finish the carry version; Blade Mail and Eul's suit the offlane.

Rupture deals damage based on distance moved, so it is useless on a hero who stands and fights. Cast it on heroes who rely on movement, such as mobile carries or escaping supports, and on anyone who will have to walk to safety. Mobility items like Blink Dagger also trigger the damage.

Bloodrage grants attack speed and spell amplification but makes the target take more damage. Cast it on yourself for farming and fights, on an allied caster who wants more spell damage, or on an enemy you are about to kill to amplify everything your team does to them.

Blood Rite has a delay before it silences and damages the area, so cast it where enemies will be, not where they are. Place it on top of a ruptured target, on a channeling enemy or on the path a group must take. The large radius forgives small mistakes.
| Detail | What it means in your game |
|---|---|
| Bloodrage | Grants a unit attack speed and spell amplification while it takes extra damage; can be cast on allies and enemies. |
| Blood Rite | After a delay, silences and damages all enemies in a large area. |
| Thirst | Passive. Bloodseeker gains movement speed and vision of low-health enemy heroes. |
| Rupture | Causes an enemy to take damage based on the distance they move for the duration. |
Bloodseeker is most often a position 1 carry who farms quickly with Bloodrage and joins fights when enemies are low. He also works in the offlane as a durable hero who ruptures the enemy carry. In both roles his job is to finish fights, chase with Thirst and lock down mobile heroes.
Phase Boots, Magic Wand and Wraith Band carry the lane. Maelstrom or Battle Fury speed up farming, Black King Bar is the standard fight item and Sange and Yasha adds speed and durability. Skull Basher into Abyssal Blade, Satanic and Aghanim's Scepter finish the build. Blade Mail suits an offlane Bloodseeker.
Yes. Bloodseeker is one of the easier carries: Thirst tells you where to go, Bloodrage is a simple buff and Rupture needs no aim. New players should learn to wait for fights to start before joining, to rupture heroes who move and to avoid chasing into the enemy team alone.
Rupture punishes movement, so cast it on an enemy who has to run or reposition and then force them to move with your attacks and your team's spells. It is strongest on mobile carries, escaping supports and heroes who need to walk to a fight. Against a hero who stands still, add Blood Rite and attacks instead of expecting Rupture to kill.
